Wanna know a great place to develop your psychic sense? The grocery store.
Well, not necessarily only the grocery store—but it is a super fun place to use your imagination and creativity, which is exactly what your intuition thrives on.
Developing your psychic sense doesn’t just happen sitting on your meditation pillow or zoning out in your bedroom. It happens in real life. Everyday life.
So today, I’m sharing a few of my favorite tools and games I learned as a little kid to deepen your trust in your intuition, learn to trust your vibes, and develop your psychic sense.
Let’s talk about where to practice your intuition.
The tools I’m going to share with you? You can use them anywhere. Not just the grocery store—try them in the bank, in traffic, on a walk, wherever.
I learned these psychic games from my mom and my nana. They helped me develop my intuitive muscles in a way that was fun, playful, and pressure-free.
Because here’s the thing: We get so caught up in the physical world and what we can see, touch, and explain. But the truth is, that’s extraordinarily limiting.
We live in an ocean of vibration. Intuition is just another sense—one we’ve been conditioned to ignore. But it’s always working. Always trying to talk to you.
I just heard this fascinating story on a podcast.
A scientist had two decks of cards. One was a “good“ deck—you’d win money from it. The other was a “bad“ deck—you’d lose money.
He wired participants up with skin conductors and had them pull cards at random. Want to know something wild?
Their bodies reacted to the “bad“ deck before their conscious minds figured it out.
Intuition is real. Your body knows before your brain does. You just have to listen.
Game #1: What Time Is It?
Start with this: The next time you wonder what time it is, don’t look at your phone.
Instead, pause. Take a deep breath. Tune in. Guess the time. Then check.
Even if you’re way off—who cares? You’re building a relationship with your inner voice.
Pro tip: Keep a little note on your phone or journal. Every time you’re right, celebrate it! That builds trust and strengthens the muscle.
Game #2: Who’s Calling (or Texting)?
Next time your phone rings or pings with a text, stop for a moment. Don’t rush to check it.
Instead, ask yourself:
“Who is this?“
“What’s the energy I feel?”
“Does this feel light, heavy, familiar, exciting?”
You’ll surprise yourself with how often you’re right. And even if you’re not, you’re practicing tuning in—which is the point.
Game #3: The Grocery Store Game
Okay, back to the grocery store.
Before you even get there, take a second to pause and tune in.
Ask:
“What’s on sale today?“
“What item will surprise me?“
“What random thing will catch my eye?”
Let your imagination wander. See what pops up.
Cucumbers? Doritos? Cookie dough popcorn?
(Yes, that last one is real—I’ll explain in a sec!)
This kind of practice brings you into the present moment, which is where your intuition lives.
Game #4: Scanning Auras + Sensing People’s Vibes
Here’s one I love to do all the time.
When you’re out and about—especially somewhere with lots of people, like the grocery store—start scanning the energy of the people around you.
You don’t have to be creepy or invasive—just notice.
Do they feel open or guarded? Creative? Grounded? Joyful?
Just pay attention. You’ll start to notice the beautiful uniqueness of everyone’s spirit. Just like a fingerprint, we all have our own energetic signature.
Just yesterday, I was at Rouses (shout out to my local grocery store!) with my best friend. We were browsing the aisles and saw this Sour Patch Kid popcorn.
We were intrigued.
A gentleman stocking the shelves looked at us and said, “You don’t want that. I tried it. Not good.“
He then suggested a cookie dough popcorn instead. (We got both.)
What struck me, though, was his energy.
He felt sweet, fun, and open.
His spirit was really light and lovely.
Later, when we checked out, the woman at the register had a very different energy—more grounded, steady, calm.
Neither is better or worse. They’re just different.
And by noticing, we learn. We connect. We practice seeing beneath the surface.
Why This Matters
When you practice these kinds of games, you:
- Strengthen your intuitive muscle
- Build confidence in yourself
- Deepen your connection with your spirit
- Tune into others with more compassion and clarity
The goal isn’t to be “right.” It’s to have fun. To play. To get curious.
Intuition isn’t black-and-white. It’s not about “good“ or “bad.” It’s about what resonates. It’s about being present.
Do you ever get intuitive hits about who’s calling or what’s about to happen?
Have you ever “just known“ something and been right? Tell me in the comments!
And let me know—are you going to try one of these games? Which one’s your favorite?
If you’re ready to go deeper, I offer single card-pull readings that tap into guidance from your higher self and your spiritual guides. They’re perfect for quick clarity, intuitive insight, and grounded support whenever you need it.
Let’s keep playing and growing.
Your spirit—and your intuition—will thank you.
Sending you all my love,
Sonia
