What Type of Spirit Are You?  TAKE THE QUIZ

Unlocking Your Past Life Gifts & Soul History

Do you know who you were in a past life?
Do you know what your past life gifts are?

Do you know how we can use those past life gifts for our own soul growth to break apart patterns that might keep us stuck and also understand the high road of our soul gifts?

The high road is where we can use these soul gifts to grow into what our soul wants us to evolve into in this lifetime, as opposed to the low vibration, which is often repeating the same pattern from a school we’ve already graduated from.

I’m so excited to guide you on this deep dive into your past life history—exploring past lives is both fascinating and transformative!

We’re going to learn how to uncover your gifts, how that helps us break apart different patterns, how we can use that intentionally with our intuition, and even how to start accessing some of our soul memories so we can begin having a felt experience with these past lifetimes.
 Your Soul Carries a History

Your past lives are part of your soul history.

Your soul is what we carry from lifetime to lifetime to lifetime. And this human experience is where we come to learn.

We often learn these lessons through our relationships, and that’s why we can experience such big pain points in our day-to-day lives and in how we relate to the world around us.

When we can understand things karmically, and karma comes from the word lesson we start to see things differently.

What are we here to grow through?
What are we here to learn?

When we start to uncover our past life gifts, first, we move into ownership.

We’re like: “Yo, I graduated from this school. This is what I excel at.”

And then we can begin using those gifts intentionally in this lifetime to support our growth and flourishing.

Clues From Your Past Lives

Have you ever had a past life inkling?

Sometimes we become aware of our past life memories through places that deeply resonate with us, people who feel incredibly familiar, or activities we naturally excel at.

These are windows into your past life history.

I remember one of the first times I thought:

“My gosh, yeah, I’ve totally had a past life here.”

I was in second grade in French school and we were studying Pompeii. As soon as the history books opened, everything in me felt:

“I have been here before. I know this place. This feels familiar.”

And of course, I was blessed enough to grow up in a family where I could say:

“I had a past life in Pompeii.”

And they were like:

“Absolutely.”

As you begin to notice what you’re drawn toward, especially when it feels inexplicable —  pay attention.

I have a client who fell completely in love with medieval texts and history. She kept saying, “I don’t know why I’m so interested.”

And I asked her “Has it ever occurred to you that maybe you spent many lifetimes in a monastery studying these texts?”

And her response was “Totally. That makes sense.”

What Pulls at Your Soul?

The first step is simply paying attention.

Where do you naturally gravitate?
What pulls at you?

And don’t go straight to the intellect: “Oh, it’s all about blah blah blah.”

Instead, move into your heart space and notice what resonates.

We came here as souls, and our soul history contains all the different things we came to learn.

Take a moment to connect with your own heart, spirit, and intuition. Be curious — curiosity is a portal for intuitive listening.

Ask yourself:

  • What are the things that I love?
  • What makes me come alive?
  • What am I incredibly good at?

For example, maybe you love taking care of people in grounded ways. Maybe you love tucking people in, feeding them, and helping with remedies.

That may be a sign that you had a past life as a nurse, caregiver, or nurturer.

Or maybe you came in with incredible ambition, a sense of adventure, and a desire to climb new mountaintops.

That could point to a past life as an explorer or adventurer, someone who loved discovering new fertile ground. See what resonates.

Patterns Reveal What Still Needs Healing

Pay attention to repeating patterns in your life.

Often, the things we repeatedly gravitate toward are connected to something in our past life history where we didn’t fully close the loop.

So we come into this lifetime trying to sort it out.

For example, if you had a past life as a strong nurturer or caregiver, you might naturally gravitate toward caring for others in this lifetime too.

You may even excel at it.

But there may also be a part of you that says:

“I feel like I’ve done this before… and honestly, I’m getting sick of it.”

That’s the low road.

That’s where resentment can begin, where we move from conscious choice into unconscious habit.

But the high road sounds different.

It says:

“Okay, I can bring these gifts of nurturing forward. But in this lifetime, part of my soul growth is learning to nurture myself too.”

Can you feel the difference between those two energies?

Family Karma & Soul Growth

I think about a client of mine who was deeply tied to her family.

She had experienced a lot of family struggles and was incredibly dutiful. She stayed home and constantly took care of everyone.

One day, while we were talking and mentoring, she said:

“You know, Sonia, I’m getting really sick of this.”

As we explored it together, it became clear that this was connected to a past life pattern of needing to be responsible for everyone.

That was something she had already mastered.

And in this lifetime, instead of being responsible for her family, she could learn to be responsible to them.

That looked like:

  • establishing healthy boundaries,
  • individuating,
  • choosing a different career,
  • and no longer being at the beck and call of every family crisis.

That shift supported her soul growth.

Instead of falling back into an old pattern of over-responsibility, she could retain the love and values without giving away her power.

She could still say:

“I love my family. They are important. They’re wonderful.”

But now she could apply those values toward her own interdependence.

Your Gifts Are Soul Gifts

One of the most important things we can do is recognize our gifts.

If you’re a gifted nurturer, adventurer, artist, writer, healer, communicator, or creator of beauty, those may very well be past life soul gifts.

Take that in.

These are things you came into this lifetime already carrying.

You might say:

“I’m really good at creating beauty.”

That’s a Past life soul gift.

“I’m really good at writing and communication.”

That’s a Past life soul gift.

“I’m really good at healing and helping people.”

That’s a Past life soul gift.

When we start naming our gifts, we claim them.

And when we bring them into awareness and consciousness, we can begin using them intentionally.

Maybe your gift is beautifying spaces. That becomes a way you share your soul gifts with the world in service of the highest good.

How to Begin Accessing Your Past Lives

If you want to start accessing your own past lives, begin with openness.

1. Create an Open State of Mind

Be open and set yourself into a receptive state.

2. Enter a Meditative Space

Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.

Bring your attention inward.

Imagine yourself sitting in a movie theater. A screen flickers on, and slowly an image begins coming into focus.

Maybe it’s blurry. Maybe grainy.

That’s okay.

Spirit doesn’t speak English.

It may come through as:

  • a word,
  • a color,
  • a feeling,
  • or a sensation.

Don’t judge it. Imagine the lens sharpening and focusing, bringing forward sense memories from different lifetimes.

3. Practice Without Judgment

Be patient if nothing comes immediately.

This is where we can ask our intuition, spirit guides, angels, and higher self for help.

And most importantly:

Don’t judge what comes through.

Like a muscle, the more you practice this awareness, the more you strengthen your connection to your soul memories.

Dreams can also become powerful portals into past lives because when we sleep, the conscious mind quiets and we begin accessing the subconscious, where many of our soul memories are stored.

Your Soul Already Knows

So here are some of the most important things to remember:

Look at where you naturally excel.

What are your gifts? What do you already know to be true about yourself?

Notice what draws you in.

What resonates deeply? What fascinates you?

Pay attention to your patterns.

Are your gifts being expressed through obligation and resentment or through conscious mastery and joy?

Stay curious.

Bring yourself into a meditative state and ask:

“What were my past lives?”

Then simply notice what begins to come through.

It may arrive as a feeling, an image, a knowing, or a sudden insight.

Follow those clues.

Because through them, we begin unlocking not only our past life history, but the deeper wisdom of the soul itself.

Work deeper with me

If this resonated with you, I’d love for you to continue exploring with me.

Most importantly, remember you are a gift. I’m so grateful for your time, attention, and energy.

All my love,
Sonia
