Manifestation Tips: How to know what you REALLY want!

Let's Talk Manifestation: What You're Doing Right, What You're Doing Wrong, and What You Actually Want

Let’s talk manifestation—what it is, what it isn’t, and what most of us are getting a little… wobbly with. Especially if you’re someone who’s like, “I want to manifest, but I’m not totally sure what I even want?”—this post is for you.

We’re going to get into the real, foundational stuff of manifestation. The kind of stuff where, if you were building a house, you’d want your foundation solid. Because if it’s not? That thing’s gonna crack. Maybe even sink. Not cute. Not helpful.

It seems simple at first—“I want a job,“I want a relationship,“I want a new car,“I want a marching band to come down my street. (Hey, I live in New Orleans, I wouldn’t be mad about it.)

But here’s the thing: the foundation of manifestation is desire. And not just surface-level, “I guess I want that? energy. I mean the real, soul-level yes. The kind that comes from deep inside your heart—not your head.

Step One: Ask Yourself… What Do I Want?

What do I really, really, really want?

I’ve been mentoring clients for years, and one of the biggest things I see is: a lot of people don’t actually know.

They think they know what they want, but when we dig in? It’s likenot really.

So if you’re someone who says, “I don’t know what I want, let’s look deeper. Not just in your mind, but in your heart. Because that’s where manifestation happens.

Your Heart Is Your Power Center

Your heart is your chimney. Your center. Your spirit connection. It’s where you manifest from. It’s your place of power.

When you love something, it’s easy to focus on it. It’s easy to give your all to it.

Think about the people you love in your life—how does thinking about them make you feel?

Think about what you love doing—cooking, gardening, singing—whatever lights you up.

That lightness, that feeling? That’s your compass.

Your Feeling Body = Your Internal Compass

Let’s talk about your feeling body for a second.

I know that can sound like, “Wait, what even is that?”—but it’s real. Your feeling body is just the sensations in your physical being.

When you’re hyped at a concert, or when you’re laughing with friends, or holding a hot cup of tea you love—it’s that YES in your body.

For me? It’s in my chest. My heart feels open. I feel connected. Good. Loving. Lit up.

That’s your body saying:

👉 “This feels right.”

👉 “This lights me up.”

Okay, So How Do We Actually Use This?

Here’s the other thing: you can start to study your world. Study what you’ve created. Everything in your life—good, bad, weird—is a part of what you’ve already manifested.

Look at it. Study it. Be curious.

Ask yourself:

  • What is my world telling me?
  • Where has my conscious mind (my “wand”) been pointing?
  • And what has my heart space (my feeling compass) been saying?

That combo is powerful. That’s what starts to show you the truth about what you want—and what you don’t.

Let Me Tell You a Story

I had a client—super high-powered woman, worked at the UN, UNICEF, the whole deal. Smart, powerful, wonderful.

And she came to me like: “I want this promotion more than anything in the world.”

Okay. So she focused. Put her energy into it. Did all the manifesting things. But something wasn’t clicking. She was like, “Why isn’t it working?”

And when we dug deeper—it wasn’t actually what she wanted.

She had used her will to get where she was. Not her heart. She was in an environment she didn’t love. The work didn’t speak to her soul. She didn’t even like her day-to-day life.

So she had to ask:

  • “What do I want my life to feel like?”
  • What do I actually desire?”

And guess what? It wasn’t the promotion. It was a connection.

Empowerment. Meaningful work. A team. Real impact.

That’s very different from just “a promotion.”

Let’s Get Real: What Do You Actually Want?

So let’s say you think you want a dog. Okay. Now study your life.

  • Are you available for a dog?
  • Do you have space, time, and energy for one?
  • Or do you just want more snuggles in your life?

Because “I want a dog and “I want more affection and companionship are two very different things.

That’s why it’s so important to study and observe, even when you don’t fully know what you want. Start somewhere. Start imagining. Start noticing what lights you up.

You’re not committing forever—you’re just getting to know yourself. Your heart. Your engine. Your magic.

What have you already created in your life?

It may seem unrelated, but it’s everything.

Because when you can connect the dots—between your mind, your heart, your feeling body—you begin to understand how you’ve been creating.

And that makes you a better, more empowered co-creator.

From there, you refine. You align. You manifest what’s actually true for you.

And that’s how you build a solid foundation for manifesting—not just magical thinking, but actual creation.
